We love all of the music they've been posting about lately and so its an honour to be up there alongside so many of our favourite artists.

The E.P. is now available on iTunes, from Rough Trade in London, Piccadilly Records in Manchester and Diskunion in Tokyo. BUT remember, you can download it for free at our bandcamp.

We gave an interview to be featured in Bido Lito! magazine for their March edition. We'll post it as soon as it comes out.

We've confirmed two shows, one supporting Sun Glitters which we're very excited about and the other supporting Forest Swords at Liverpool Sound City. Ticket links are over at the SHOWS page. Can't wait to get back to playing live.

Jacob came back to Liverpool to prepare for the everisland presents: THIRTEEN show. Thanks to some very kind folks at the University, we managed to bag a practice room that more or less became our home for the days in the run up to Friday.

We had the pleasure of meeting Laura from The Double Negative at Elevator Cafe on Sunday for a chat that can be read over on their stunning webiste HERE.

The show at the Kazimier was incredible. The turn out far surpassed anyone's expectation and it was brilliant to see so many friendly and familiar faces in the crowd. HIVE COLLECTIVE provided some dark, sinister visuals and beats throughout the night and the bands we played with were all exceptional.

This lovely photo was taken by our good friend Matt Tyzack who without his generosity we couldn't have played the show. Thanks Matt.

everisland presents did a great thing by putting on an ambitious show featuring only local artists. There were no obvious crowd pullers but the combination of performers, the promoter's efforts and the great community we surround ourselves with made it a success. I've got high hopes for them and we look forward to seeing where they go with future shows.

Hoping to sort out some new shows soon. We'll be sure to keep you in the loop.

Albums

20. Sun Araw - Ancient Romans

19. Julia Holter - Tragedy

18. Roman Flugel - Fatty Folders

17. The Haxan Cloak - The Haxan Cloak

16. Laurel Halo - Hour logic

15. Nicolas Jaar - Space is Only Noise

14. Danny Brown - XXX

13. MAchinedrum - Room(s)

12. Rustie - Glass Swords

11. Oneohtrix Point Never - Replica

10. The Antlers - Burst Apart

I did like their first album, but for all it's haunting beauty and majestic soundscapes it had a little bit of a slitty-wrist vibe. Burst Apart doesn't venture boldly into new territory but improves on what they did so well on their debut, with added pop sensibility.

9. Demdike Stare - Tryptych:

The darkest, most experimental headfuck of the year. 3 albums worth of obscure, archival sampling over slow dub/techno beats, and droning synths. The pioneers of Derrida's 'hauntology' inspired musical movement land upon an ace skewed musique-concrete/techno/hip-hop amalgam.

8. Pinch & Shackleton - Pinch & Shackleton:

Came out of nowhere and is about as excellent as can be expected from two of the UK's best producers. A kind of apocalyptic, hallucinatory dubstep futurism, which doesn't appear to adhere to any conventions or trends. Check out the excellent, 'Rooms Within a Room', to get a feel for what i'm talking about.

7. Connan Mockasin - Forever Dolphin Love:

Weird and wonderful psychedelic proggy jams, with awesome hooks, dissonant tremelo guitar and easily the two best guitar-based tracks i've heard in a long time with singles, Forever Dolphin Love, and Faking Jazz Together. Saw them the Nightmare Before Christmas ATP a few weeks back and my mind melted...

6. Clams Casino - Instrumentals:

Easily the most hyped about and prolific producer of the year released one of the best albums, as well as contributing in no small way to A$AP Rocky's LiveLoveA$AP, Main Attraktionz' 808s..., and Lil B's I'm Gay, not to mention his debut EP on hipster Witch House imprint, Tri Angle records. Not many producers are able to harness a completely unique sound on their debut, but this is what Clams Casino achieved on Instrumentals with each track bursting at the seams. It's part Burial, part Neptunes, part Tim Hecker, part... Enya?? difficult to define but simultaneously brutal and brilliant.

5. The Caretaker - An Empty Bliss Beyond This World:

James Kirby creates an album inspired by Alzheimer's disease and the evocative capacity of music to trigger powerful memories in those who suffer from the illness. Laden with glorious 78 samples, An Empty Bliss... creates a weird sense of borrowed nostalgia, yet it contorts and manipulates your expectations with subdued sonic eeriness via intense vinyl crackle, synth murmurs, delays, and reverbs. Affectingly beautiful and dystopian at once.

4. Andy Stott- Passed Me By/We Stay Together:

Murky, claustrophobic and yet completely hypnotic. Shuddering four-to-the-floor kicks, pulsating side-chain, and sweeping filters permeate the two EPs, and whilst in themselves they're not particualrly "out-there" musical devices, Andy Stott creates a sound like no other. It had a similar impact to hearing Burial for the first time, and I'm still recovering.

3. Drake - Take Care:

From the willfully sleazy Marvin's Room, to the beat-pounding, Make Me Proud, I can't think of a mainstream rnb/hip-hop album this engaging. This is somewhat indebted to Noah 40s Shebib's inimitable production work, but that's not to detract from Drizzy's surprisingly brilliant swagger and flow throughout. So many tunes, so many excellent collaborations, and yet it doesn't even feature his best of the year, 'Trust Issues'. That's the mark of an artist at his peak and long my it continue!

2. Kuedo - Severant:

Blissed out, futuristic synth-pop/dubstep to lull you into a hypnagogic state. Kind of a modern-day sequel to Vangelis' still-awesome Blade Runner soundtrack. It's difficult to explain why I like this album quite as much as I do; maybe it's the immediacy, the fact that it's just hook after hook throughout, or the fact that for all its sci-fi/digital meandering it still comes across as a deeply emotive and sincere record which you can at once relate to.

1. The Weeknd - House of Balloons:

Has to be my number 1 album of 2011 for the simple reason that I listened to it religiously for the majority of the year...seems to be written from the perspective of a persistently intoxicated Lothario type, but there's a noticeable undercurrent of vulnerability and intimacy also, which results in a sound both rousing and haunting.

Have to say I've become progressively more underwhelmed by the follow ups (Thursday, and Echoes of Silence), BUT what The Weeknd brought to RnB which was initially so refreshing was an unpredictable and rough-around-the-edges bedroom producer aesthetic. Sure, it's packed to the brim with catchy hooks and choruses, but the production was more akin to Holy Other and Clams Casino than Timberland, and it just seemed to resonate...

Tracks

25. Inc. - millionairess

24. Maceo Plex - Vibe Your Love

23. Pinch & Shackleton - Rooms within a Room

22. Sandro Perri - Futureactive Kid part 1.

21. Austra - The Beat and the pulse

20. Outfit - Two Islands

19. Caretaker - All you are going to want to do is get back there

18. Azari & III - Hungry for the Power

17. Lana Del Rey - Video Games

16. Cass McCombs - County Line

15. Pional - Yes

14. Atlas Sound - Te Amo

13. Kuedo - Truth Flood

12. Clams Casino - All I Need

11. Gang Gang Dance - Glass Jar

10. Connan Mockasin - Faking Jazz Together

9. Joe Goddard- Gabriel

8. Blawan - Getting me Down

7. Drake - Trust Issues

6. Frank Ocean - Swim Good

5. Andy Stott - Posers

4. Tyler The Creator- Yonkers

3. The Weeknd - The Morning

2. Azealia Banks - 212

1. FaltyDL - Hip Love
